Created 6th January 2006 based on the Times killer (TiKi) cover story (Tetsuya Nishio talking to Leo Lewis) Gentle (7 minutes) example. This puzzle is identical but with the clues in modular form.
I chose this as a first attempt as the puzzle appeared to be massively redundant, hence could bear significant stripping down of the clues.
On first attempt it took me about three hours to solve with a grind it out approach. I would estimate that after I have solved a few of these it would probably take me about an hour. Note I tend to complete Djape’s puzzles in standard to slightly slow times.
While I have not "proved" uniqueness, my solution walkthrough convinces me that it is unique.
I have a full detailed solution walkthrough. However given my target audience (Djape’s obsessives) knowing that it exists should be enough.
(Where the nonet boundary is in the bold font, it is also the cage boundary)
The diagram has now been redrawn for clarity on Oddsock's advice. More KiMos will follow once I redrawn them this way.
For clarity, I have now included the Excel Document KiMo Puzzle 1 Excel
